| Process optimisation studies provide the cautious evaluation
of the various processing options available, assessing the advantages
and disadvantages of each, and how they may best be applied to
achieve the optimum recovery system at the lowest capital and
unit operating cost.
We present the projects below to illustrate our experience.
LA COLORADO GOLD MINE ENGINEERING STUDY
Exploraciones Eldorado S.A. De C.V.
Sonora, Mexico
To improve the mine's existing gold recovery process, Roberts
& Schaefer performed a preliminary engineering study to develop
the most cost-effective alternatives available to add tertiary
crushing and an agglomeration system. In-depth

MAGCORP OF AMERICA
Magnesium Plant
Plant Optimisation Study and Controls Evaluation
Rowley, Utah
Roberts & Schaefer did a plant optimisation study for
over 100 processes at Magcorp's Rowley facility in Utah. Improvements
were found in quality control, efficiency, safety, down time planning,
capital cost planning, and use of technicians. In-depth
