Job Summary

The successful candidate applies the knowledge and techniques of electrical engineering for review of drawings and specifications, and also provides assistance to project management. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews and evaluates electrical design drawings and specifications prepared by electrical subcontractors and vendors.
  • Consults with and advises management regarding electrical problems encountered during construction of major projects. 
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs and applications.
  • Gives technical advice to engineers and staff.
  • Advises Engineers as to the viability of proposed plans and actions.
  • Formulates standard specification language for electrical engineering projects.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Ensures subcontractors are on schedule, review their drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with specifications.  

Experience Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in the field of electrical engineer.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Industrial work experience and material handling systems preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering
